Ms. Alex Sanders

My name is Alex Sanders and I am the Dean of Students at Skyview Middle School. I am so excited to be a part of the award-winning culture here at Skyview, and I look forward to partnering with students, families and staff to continue building our positive culture and community at SMS!

I have worked in education since 2008, and have served in District 49 since 2019. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Specialization in Criminal Justice from Colorado Christian University, and will complete my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Principal Licensure this year, also from CCU. In addition to my role here at Skyview, I have been coaching high school girls volleyball for almost 20 years, and am entering my second season as the Head Coach at Vista Ridge HS.

I have one son, Beckett, and two mini dachshunds, Oakley and Gretl. I was born in California, grew up near Boulder, CO and have been in Colorado Springs since 2010, so I love both the mountains and the ocean. I grew up in a sports family, with my parents and siblings all being collegiate/professional athletes and coaches, so I love all things sports - especially volleyball and football! In my free time, I love to play volleyball, go to sporting events, travel, and find my way out of escape rooms!
