Greetings! My name is Corey DeFelice. I am excited and honored to be given the opportunity to serve as the newest principal of Ridgeview. I am a native of Colorado Springs, having attended Falcon Elementary, Falcon Middle School, and eventually graduating from Palmer High School in 1999. My journey took me to Texas where I have spent my career in public education. In my 17 years, I have taught third, fourth, and fifth grade. I have been an academic assessment and data specialist, and for the past five years I have been an assistant principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels.

I have a B.A. in History from the University of Northern Colorado, a M.Ed. in Counseling with a Principal’s Certificate from the University of Houston-Victoria, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Supervision from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.

I have a wonderful wife, Itziar, who is a school counselor, and three amazing children, ages 15, 10, and 5. In our free time we love to travel and play Super Mario Party on the Nintendo Switch. I love baseball and hockey, and am really looking forward to being back in Colorado and getting back on the slopes.

Hey Eagle families!

I have been involved in education for 24 years as a teacher, coach, athletic director, assistant principal, principal and a director. I graduated from Southern Illinois University with my Bachelors in Elementary Education and graduated from Illinois State University with my Masters in Educational Leadership. 

I previously was an administrator at Banning Lewis Preparatory Academy serving as the middle school principal, director of programs, and as an assistant principal. At Banning Lewis Preparatory, I opened up a brand new high school, started all of the high school athletic programs, started and led one of the largest concurrent enrollment programs in District 49. 

My wife, Audra, and I have been married 18 years and have two children, Danica, age 15, and Camden, age 12. In our spare time, we enjoy camping and hiking. I also coach little league baseball.

Dear Eagle Families,

I am so thrilled to be a part of the Skyview Middle School team and serve our community and your students! I hold a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from SUNY Brockport, a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and obtained my leadership credentials from Western State University. 

I began my career working in the National Park Service and transitioned into education in 2003. I have taught secondary biology and chemistry, coached cross country and track and field, supported staff and students as a dean of students, and now enjoy being an assistance principal. 

My husband and I have two fantastic kids and a beloved black lab. We love to ski, flyfish, hike and get outside to enjoy the outdoors as often as possible.

Hello, I'm very excited for my new role as Assistant Principal this year.  This is my 3rd year at Skyview and am so lucky to be part of this amazing team.  I have two children, a boy and a girl 21 and 25.  I am an avid hunter and fisher and love playing golf.  I'm looking forward to working with every grade level this year and partnering with you and your students.

My name is Alex Sanders and I am the Dean of Students at Skyview Middle School. I am so excited to be a part of the award-winning culture here at Skyview, and I look forward to partnering with students, families and staff to continue building our positive culture and community at SMS!

I have worked in education since 2008, and have served in the POWER Zone in D49 since 2019. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a Specialization in Criminal Justice, and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership with Principal Licensure, both from Colorado Christian University. I am also a recently retired high school girls volleyball coach of almost 20 years. 

I have one son, Beckett, and three mini dachshunds - Oakley, Gretl and Poppy. I was born in California, grew up near Boulder, CO and have been in Colorado Springs since 2010, so I love both the mountains and the ocean. I grew up in a sports family, with my parents and siblings all being collegiate/professional athletes and coaches, so I love all things sports - especially volleyball and football! In my free time, I love to play volleyball, go to sporting events, travel, and find my way out of escape rooms!
